Callograph shells

As well as creating my ceramic pieces for my upcoming exhibition, I have been preparing a series of shell Callographs and printing onto clay to create reliefs. This was inspired by a course I attended in August 2013 by Kim Major George.

Ceramic Studio at Fairkytes

Fairkytes was built in the mid 18th Century from the Georgian/Victorian period,a grade 2 listed building. It was opened as an Arts Centre in 1973.

I became a member in 2012 and regularly exhibit in the new gallery.

The following images demonstrate the processes by which I create various forms in the Studio.  I am at present developing a series of new shapes inspired from Predynastic Egypt.
